I have a 99 F250 and my windshield wipers started acting up. I still have high and low but the delayed settings are jacked up! They move a little then stop, then move a little more than stop. When I turn the **** to the stop position they stop at that spot, not move to the start position, and my washer sprayer quit! One night they all worked and the next day not so well. Any ideas?? I'm thinking the multi-function switch arm on the steering console but its kind of an expensive hunch.. thanks Jason
I did not have the squirter issues but my wipers did the same crazy thing about 2 years ago. I went to the dealer and they said there was a recall. They replaced the motor for free under the recall and all is good for two years now.
I didn't see any recall information on this site under TSBs and recalls. I'll stop to the dealer tomorrow and ask. I was leaning more toward the switch, because they still do work, but I'm happy to hear someone else had the same issue. thanks for all the input!
I ended up having to change both the switch and motor. First, I changed the switch and I got back the windshield washer sprayer but still no delay wipers and they would stop as soon as they were switched off. I changed the motor and now I have everything functioning right! $135 fix, but I need to be able to see out the windshield!!
