I have a shop here in town that seams to be a pretty good shop. They did my EGR delete. I asked about doing ELC. They said common practice at that shop is to do a reverse power flush and refill with ELC. Problem solved with no ill effects on the oil cooler.
Thoughts? Truck only has 76k miles, and EGR was deleted at 72k. I was wondering how important it was to get this flushed and ELC put in. The shop told me at 100k would be okay. I also hear the high temps from the EGR cooler is what causes the gold to gum up and clog the oil cooler to begin with.

Thanks!
Exact oposite. Clogged oil coolers cause the egr coolers to fail.
I mean the heat from the exhaust in the EGR cooler over heating the coolant to the point that it begins to break down and form the silicate deposits that clog the coolers.
