Engine block heater replacement

I got a 1997 f250 powerstroke and i think my engine block heater went out and i was wondering how hard it is to replace it?

Have you tested the cord, and/or measured the resistance right at the heater?

Here is a link and good picture, looks to me like an easy replacement, test yours first though.

My problems with the cords have always been at the plug end. I just cut the plug off and wire a new plug back on.

Just replaced mine and it was just a matter of unscrewing it. It is a messy job because the heater sits in the coolant.

Did you test the continuity of the conductors of the cord after rebuilding it?
