Help with door glass install

I need to change the door glass in my dads 1959 F100. I thought I had saved a link to information on how to do this efficiently but I can't seem to find it. So, if anyone could point me in the right direction on info to change the door glass and weatherstripping it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I used the instructions illustrated in the Dennis-carpenter catalog. It is too big to post. Do you have a copy?

Make sure you change the rubber that holds the glass to the track or glass wont stay in. Don't ask me how I know.

Wouldn't the rubber need to be replaced when the new windows are installed? Jim

Anyone sourced a less expensive place to get the vent window rubbers? $90 is steep.

I'm just having a hard time forking over $90 for some small rubber bits.

Well we installed the new windows and weatherstripping today. The instructions in the Dennis Carpenter catalog were not very clear therefore pretty useless. We made due just fine without instruction. The weatherstripping kit my dad purchased from LMC had some issues. Some of the molded in clips were not in the correct spots to fit the truck properly. Other than that it went pretty good. Not too hard of a job. Thanks for the advice guys. Jim

Vent windows were replaced but the vent window rubber was not replaced. It was still in nice shape. Jim
