Swap engine to 460
I am in the process of turning my truck into a dedicated mud truck. I want to run 38 or 40 inch tires and I know that my 5.0 won't have enough juice for the job. I came across a really clean 460 from a 1991 f350 only 54,000 mile and I bought it really cheap. Engine runs perfect. I got everything from the intake down to the motor mounts and all accassories and wiring. I need to know what type of tranny I need cause I'm pretty sure my mazda 5-speed won't bolt to it and will my transfer case (1356) be ok. Also will there be enough power from a stock 460 for a good mud truck or should I leave the 5.0 in and do some mods to the 460? ANy advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is this going to be a pretty straight forward swap? Everything is in tact on the 460 and it probably should bolt right up with a new ZF tranny. What surprises will I run into? Any insight from someone who has done this is greatly appreciated.
