9th cylinder

Alright, i've noticed it for a long while but didnt think nothing too much until a month or so ago and i think its not right. Every so often..(more tthen i like), while keeping my foot a constant pressure on the go pedal, the truck will seem to have an extra injector "light up" and BAM...for that second or 2, it'll just jump with this ungodly extra power.

I've done the buzz test, trucks seems/sounds good..has what i think, is good excel for a stocker 6spd, no sel, no hidden soft codes.....it just seems an injector gets cleared and outcomes the hidden power for that second or 2 ?

If you don't have any codes theres a hard part somewhere that isn't right. It took me over a year to figure out that the converter I put in my truck took a poo

Does the tone change or anything? You may have an IPR giving it a little extra oil pressure, or a failing ICP sensor that drops low for a second, kind of simulating a 10k mod. You would need to log some data during the event to figure it out.

only thing left, i dont have...AE. Truck has brand new within the year, ICP and IPR...(**** like that), new EBP too. Thats exactly how it feels...truck cruis'n along, me thinkn its on 8 cyl then whamo..the actual 8th one opens up...its like a new found glory of power for them few seconds. i wonder if a loss of boost would play a role. Noticed my cold side boot at IC is leaking oil, lol.....gotta contact Clay and get the cac tubes i ordered wrong, be replaced...(need 3x3.25)

If I'm recalling your situation accurately, you've had an issue for a long time. It sounds like your issue clears up for a couple of seconds and you get all your stock power back.

you know Tug, you may be right. I remember (prior to turbo pop'n), i could break the tires in 2nd gear...now it just "goes thru the gears"....i try replicating the scenerio, by keeping my foot consistant with no rpm fluctuation, and then jab throttle, but to no prevail...damn, if you think it becomes "stock" for them seconds, i cant imagine what a tuner would feel like.

Tim check your oil level.

Maybe you have a mostly dead injector that tries to function every once in a while?
