electric mirrors question

New here, great forum

I have a 1992 f250 xlt with power windows/locks/mirrors
Just bought a 1996 f250 xlt with power windows/locks > No electric mirrors

Question is, are the 1996 xlt doors provisioned with the wiring/connectors
to swap my 1992 stuff in or were there differing OEM door harnesses for the
electric mirrors option? Service manual and parts breakdowns were not obvious
as to answer.Though maybe someone has done/noticed the wiring/connectors

Thanks in advance

From what I've read the harness will not have the necessary plugs. I cannot confirm 100%, but some of the newer model f150's or eBay have mirrors that operate via a fuse or their own relay, which you could simply wire into your system instead of finding a matching truck to pull that section of the engine/body harness. Of course you could swap your doors completely, but the harness install would be the same.
