Driving to dinner with my girl the other day when my truck started to act up it happened right after the car wash. It started bucking and shutting down I would get power then loose it over and over until it finally had enough and would not now with out stalling it clicks under the dash right when it dies. The clicks from right of the fuse box under the radio. Thought fuel might be gelled cuz it's been cold and I have no additives in the tank changed fuel filter and ran 911. Idles now fine but the second you try to move it clicks and does again need help I don't know what it is
Leaky windshield into fuse box is a very likely candidate. You may also check the battery cable ends really well also. Some trucks have seen those symptoms from oxidized cables.
yup...pouring rain here yesterday. Went out to fire truck up and windshields all foggy, fan blower going a 1000mph...thank god my battery didnt die. Last time it rained, damn horn went sounding off, waiting in line to make a L turn..haha
Yep, I concur.. leaky wind shield.. it is a know problem with some of these trucks. The windshield seal start to leak and the water drip's on the fuse box. The wires and fuse's will start to corrode over time and do bad things.. next time this happens. remove the fuse box and see if its wet IN SIDE not just on the out side..
