After some prodding around in the cab I decided to check under the hood to see what could be found. After some cleaning on the battery posts and terminals it seems that corrosion was the culprit. Probably shoulda looked there first but I was convinced it was a fuse or something along those lines. Cleaned everything and the truck came back to life.

I was through Salyersville yesterday (Monday). As well as Pikeville, West Liberty, Morehead, Flemingsburg, Maysville, Foster, and many other small towns.

Glad you got your truck fixed!

Looks like old man winter has struck again.

Mix of rain, snow and once in a while, ice pellets here in Magoffin County.

Nothing is sticking; Just wet and nasty weather is all.

A little covering on the grass is all we got. Suppose to be something like 15 degrees here in the morning. Luckily, tomorrow's the only cold day we're suppose to get. Friday should warm back up to the 50's and be sunny!

We just got the cold for the most part. Not much stuck to the ground.

If you need someone to blame, it's us. We have brick layers working on some outdoor fireplaces. They started yesterday. Yup, our fault.

I just want to be clear on a couple of things:

1. I said I like snow, I didn't say anything about liking cold, nasty weather.

2. I said I like German Shepherd dogs, I didn't say anything about liking puppies.

After taking my girlfriend to a doctor appointment in Morehead today, I stopped in Clearfield and snapped a few pics of the old Lumber Railroad Depot.

That's neat Wes. I remember there used to be an old diesel locomotive in there, but it's gone now. Is the track still there across the creek? The old trolley car motor would be a nice project!

The trolley car is awesome! It's a shame that stuff is just sitting there.

Only a small section of the tracks remain.

And I agree Ken, that should be a small museum or something.

The '48-'56 forum really slowed down in the last couple of days. I guess it has finally warmed up enough to get back on projects. Maybe I should do the same.

Today would be a good day to get some work done outside. Or, to play outside!

Gotta love that china stuff!!! I replaced the belt tensioners on all 3 of my 7.3's. Luckily only once. I also replace the belts any time I do a tensioner or waterpump unless I just recently changed it before. It does sound corny to hear you talk about blocking the wheels and setting the emergency brake, but too often people get hurt and/or killed by not being careful. A few years ago, a guy in one of the 7.3 forums got his arm broke by dropping the driveshaft and not blocking the wheels. Truck ran over his arm. He really felt stupid, but could have killed him. No such thing as too many reminders about safety.
