Headers

I am putting together a 351m with 351 cleveland heads. I have a 1976 Valare IFS. Just wondering if anybody has done this, and what headers might fit. I don't want to buy headers and have them not fit. I might have to go with custom headers but they get very pricey of course. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm using Sanderson Headers PN FC3's on my 351m Stroker in my 48 F1. I have a Jag IFS and it clears fine. Due to my IFS I had to move my motor mounts to the passenger side.

Is the crossmember under the center of the engine. If not Sanderson makes a center dump block hugger style header. It's the FF5 .

The cross member is close to the center. I needed a rear sump oil pan because the crossmember was in the way. Those shortys look like they could work. I am putting the motor together in 2-3 weeks(waiting on parts).

Sent you a PM on the headers, I have a new set that dump in the center. They are Sanderson FF5.

48 steel why did you go with the FC3's and not the FC'2s. Did the starter get in the way?

Due to the IFS I have installed I didn't what the headers to interfere with steering linkage.

I did some measuring and ordered my Sanderson FC2's yesterday. Waiting for my pistons(should be here the end of the week). Then have to get the crank, rods, and pistons balanced. I will finally get to build the motor in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!!
