I have a stock 2010 f-350 drw fx4 cc 56,000 miles with stock bfgoodrich tires that im getting very uneven or "choppy" wear on the front tires only and the outside of both tires are worn more then the inside making me believe the tops of the tires are leaning out a little to far. Rear tires look brand new other than they are worn down a little. About 85-90% of my driving is without a trailer unloaded and that is split about 70% hwy and 30% city. I was told the wear is from towing but im seeing more wear and havent towed since September. When im towing my axle weights are: steer 5,500-5,800lbs. drive 8,500-8,800lbs.
Any insight or advice as to why this may be happening would be greatly appreciated then also any "better" tires out there for these trucks that work decent in winter(I live in Wisconsin) since im getting this wear im down to about 1/8in tread on the outside of the front tires?

What your describing is indicative of either an alignment issue or the front end being lifted off the ground.
Even if you haven't towed since September one a tire wears improperly it will continue to wear "improperly" evenly until the tire is done. Meaning if you wear a extra 3/32 of the outside of the tire even if you correct the causing issue, that tire will still always have 3/32 less tread until the tire is worn unless something else occurs.
I don't tow so I'm not sure what your issue could be caused by definitely.
Duallys also can experience front end tire wear issues if they are not balanced and rotated every 5-10k miles.
Im up in Shawano and work in Green Bay. Ive been trying to get the alignment fixed knowing that the way the outside is wore more it cant be right but the service techs keep telling me everything is in spec. As far as the uneven wear its really weird it actually varies from lug to lug making it seems like the tire is soft and the lugs rolling over differently under different loads. Ill try to get a good detailed picture later and post it and maybe someone has seen that before? Service Dept. exact words "thats all normal for those trucks" but ive experienced lazy service techs before until its a really expensive fix then they are all over it.

Without seeing the tire in person its had to say what it could be. But there are a large amount of things that affect tire wear. All the suspension components can affect it, improper loading can affect it, aggressive driving can affect it.
If its chopped, then I would steer toward either shocks or balance.
