We are loaded and heading back. Doc, no hotel for us, a couple of hours sleep in the truck. Chris says if you want to do pillow scene he'd be happy to take you along next.

LOL. Uh.....no thanks. So the obvious question--where is the truck that you went for?
This is my new 1950 F5
It came with two sets of side boards. One set is for grain box and one set is for cattle ( stake bed sides. ) both in great shape.
It needs some tlc and a bath!
It is a dark blue under there!
It has a flat head v8
It dumps also!
This truck was running when we pulled up. It may need a starter or a new coil!
With the problems we had at the beginning of our trip we were set back about five hours. We were running out of time and after looking at the pictures of the truck I decided it wouldn't be worth the extra time to go out of our way. I called the seller a few time to get more information but like the guy selling the F-1 I originally wanted to go after, he wouldn't answer his phone. It was too much of a chance to add another 4 hours to our trip. We accomplished our main goal, getting Chris's truck. Andy and I didn't pull into my driveway until around 3 am this morning, driving through a small, but slippery snow storm.

When we first saw the truck it looked green but when we opened the door the interior was blue. The seller said when he first got it he polished the driver's fender and found it was actually blue. Chris was playing around with it for a few minutes during one of our stops and was able to bring out the blue. I think he could buff it out a little and come away with a fairly presentable truck with the patina everyone seems to be crazy about.
