Looking again to all you great posters.Need to find how to unclog the condensation drain or more so where it is located. At times I get a collection of water mostly on driver side just under mid section of tranny( confusing) don't see any kind of drain tube where one might assume to look (pass side just below a/c box) am i hot or cold no pun intended . 03 exp xlt 4.6 2wd white w tinted windows black tires ( sorry just havin fun)
It's on the firewall just above the oxygen sensor on the passenger side. If you lay on the ground and look up there you will see it. If it's the stock drain (no elbow installed...) it will be covered by a flat plastic shield. Usually you end up having to put the TSB update elbow drain on there to prevent drain water from back flowing into the cab carpet. Many people don't do this and just elect to get rid of the vehicle instead. Which leaves all the used truck buyers out there to fix it. But really, if you're getting water on the driver's side check that it isn't coolant from your heater core. I'll post some pics that might help you clean out your A/C condensation drain anyway.

Here's the drain, with an elbow update on it, just above the O2 sensor....
This is the shield that covers the stock A/C drain on the firewall... it just pries off ...
If you want to clean out your A/C drain you can safely drill a 1/2" hole in the box in this area.... too far left and you hit the evaporator core... spray it out with a utility sprayer...put black duct tape over the hole when you're done.
Thanks again! pic s are great found the shield. This I think is why water is on driver side, the shield diverts the water over heat shield just below it hope I m right .This is water not coolant .
Any idea what size the elbow is? I need to do that to mine.
Its a dealer available part ( p/n F3LY-6A614-A ). You might have to order it, I think it was about $15. I don't remember the exact size, something like 5/8" or so. Here's a link to another right up I did on it: Ford A/C drain elbow install.
Also, the flat shield that comes installed over the drain hole outlet wouldn't divert water all the way over to the driver's side. Maybe a severely clogged drain hole would, where the condensation water built up high enough to flow over there. In the mean time you can just pry the shield off and see how it flows without it, may be better than with the shield there I'm sure.
Either way, the elbow is a good item to install.
So I tacked this today, boy did it turn out to be a little easier after my first attempt. Got wise and removed wheel well cover , opened it up like a dance hall. Also just removed side of sheild closest to wheel then just rolled it down away to expose the drain. Used a long piece of #6 solid copper wire bent it here and there to go in slow and stead to not damage anything. Did discover the thermo shield mounted on bottom of body became undone just enough to sag below sheild to divert water to opposite side. Sheild should have been made in reverse but still covering hole to keep debris out engineer's ugh! Ha ha
