Been on the edge site looking at the units. Looks like the only way I can use this on my 95 is to buy a $300 wiring kit to convert it to a non OBDII vehicle. Still probably better than the gauges, but it almost doubles the cost for me. Guess I will have to think about it awhile. Looks like a nice unit, I see why you went this route. If it wasnt for the extra 300 I would have already ordered one.

Man Randy, that sucks. You're vehicle isn't OBDII? I did notice it was for '96 and newer, but what's so different about the '95?
I do not know if there is a difference, need to confirm that. I was just going by what info was on their site. Since they say it is for '96 up and sell a kit for non OBDII trucks, you would think they know what they are talking about.
I would definitely like to know how to tell if it is a II or not. I would really like to run the Edge instead of gauges.
Well, what can I do affordably to get better boost? I don't want to do injectors and all of that stuff. Can I upgrade the wastegate or something of that nature? I also wonder if the Edge is accurate. I put on the RPM gauge just to see and it told me it was turning 2175 at 65 mph but my tach said more like 2300. All that has been done to the truck is in my sig. I know the E4OD is lesser than the manual, but 10-13 seems low to me still.
i wouldn't worry about the rpm's. I have the factory auxillary idle in my truck and it's always 50 rpm lower at idle and 200 out at 2000 rpm. If anything I think my tach is out
Just have the dealer flash the PCM with the latest software and problem solved. No need to buy a wiring kit
And there ya go. Good info. Mike, do you have any input what I might do to increase my boost without injectors, programmers, etc? Am I pretty much stuck with what I have? I'll be hunting down leaks this weekend, but I still think it could be better.
I hope so. I don't want to be doing anything else to the truck as far as adding more fuel and that sort of thing. I'll be looking at it this weekend. Hopefully I find what it is and can fix it with little issue. Ha, like that ever happens.
Adding a chip with good tuning is one of the best things you could do for the truck.
It want hurt it or the trans. The problem you hear from people adding power is cause they went out hotroding it.
No wastegate on these trucks Byron, unless Cali models have them that I'm unaware of. And I must disagree with the half price of the gauges. I got mine for Christmas!
Get yourself a chip, Racer X TQ, and Racer X VB and enjoy it.

BIG SIGH...dammit!!! Fine fine, I'll get a chip. You and Mike are not helping my budget/longevity ideas. LOL Well, I just got done reading about the TS chip and I can afford it and it sounds like I can do my self. So, my question is what say you guys? Todd? Mike? Bill? Anyone else? Thomas? I need input here. I like that it has a high idle feature and two lower levels for my towing needs. Todd, what are those two racer thingys you mentioned?
In other news, truck is super right and feels like new going down the road after all of the front end work. I am super stoked about that. No more clunking when going over bumps and rough roads either. So now, onto a little more power and some functionality....and more boost dangit!!!
