Trying to figure out a crank no start on this 89 f250 with the glorious 5.8. I've looked at spark, sparks good. Fuel pressure is at 38-40 psi. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor have all been changed.
Seems like it wants to fire up after the first couple revolutions, then it just cranks. If you use either, it'll fire up and die and you can't keep it running with either. So I was thinking about changing my ignition module. Low and behold... it's stuck. Now I got it soaking with PB blaster and have tapped around the base with a hammer. I can't get it to turn. I was wondering if any of you have ran into this issue and what you did to solve it...
Yea I did I used a crescent wrench on the large wrench boss built into the distributor body itself (at least they did that) to break it free, it took some time to do kept soaking it down taping it back and fro now and then until it came free. I did not want to add to the problem by snapping it off, I just wanted to adjust the timing but was not happy to find it froze in place no.
