Hello all I have a 1988 Ford F150 4x4 302 V8 auto transmission. I already replaced the spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, rotor, and the fuel tanks and pumps. I tried starting the truck a few days ago and nothing it cranks but no start. I had my dad check for spark and it is getting spark. Also I had my dad prime it while I was cranking it nothing still. Autozone says the distributor is bad. Could this be? the distributor I have in it I took out of a 89 F150 302 2wd not running. I would like to see this truck running soon.

You've already checked spark, how's fuel pressure? Has this truck ever been running while you've owned it? Is the firing order of the plug wires correct?
The truck hasn't ran since I bought it about 3 years ago and so far I replaced those parts but I haven't done the external pump. I had my dad spray gasoline in the intake and I cranked the truck over but nothing happened it worked on our 89 F250. I checked the firing order already quite a few times and yes it is good. I haven't checked fuel pressure but it isn't even starting when I put gas in the intake so that seems to me to rule that out.

Put a timing light on it and see if it is 10 degress TDC. This will check the distributor and the timing chain. Mine has a plug to pull (sorry forgot the name) that needs to be removed to stop the auto advance feature.
I just now rembered something that may be a help to helping me. The truck has attempted to start before just not this last time that I tried starting. When I put new plugs, wires, and coil it attempted to start but wouldn't stay running so I put new pumps in a few months later (a few days ago) and then is when it didn't attempt to start at all.
