I forgot and left my Warn Hubs locked two days ago. Last night the truck started vibrating on my way home from work (12) miles. I smelled something hot when I got out of the truck. I felt all of the hubs, and the front left hub was extremely hot. I unlocked the hubs and drove the truck a couple of hours later and the hub didn't heat up. It wasn't hot when I got to work today either.
I wondered about a hot rotor and maybe it was just coincidence that the problem quit when I unlocked the hub. I was thinking maybe bad u-joints were making some stress on the needle bearings causing them to heat up more than normal.
I'll be locking the hubs again the weekend to see if the symptom reoccurs.
