Guy came into my lane a few weeks back and hit my front bumper and about spun out (perfect PIT maneuver) but I hit the breaks. We pulled off to the side and he had a little damage and I just had the front bumper damage. Got his business card after said he would mail me a check (He honest to God seemed like a decent guy) for $300 even though I told him I could replace it myself for less several times. Weeks went by and nothing so I called him up at work (an hour from where I live) and he said he changed his mind. I told him I'd be visiting him real soon 
I plan on it too. I talked to a police officer about it later and he said it's illegal to not report it when it happens in VA. for this exact reason. once the scene has been left there is no way to tell who did what.
