A little info to explain my question. My Dad had a 70 F-100 Ranger that I wanted to fix up. Turns out the cancerous rust had completely taken over. A few weeks ago, I found a 70 F-100 Sport Custom in the junk yard. Surface rust only and with only slight tinkering, runs like a top. Removed aftermarket a/c and factory power steering to start turning it into "Daddy's truck". So now I've got an alternator only setup and my pulleys don't line up. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks!
More information is required and be more specific... we're not clairvoyant.
What engine and which pulleys?
Does the crank pulley line up with the water pump pulley?
Does the alternator pulley line up with the crank pulley and the water pump pulley?
It is a 302. The alternator did have a crank pulley to itself, but now is the only way to put tension on the water pump. The water pump pulley does not line up with the alternator, and the crank pulley that lines up with the alternator is too big to allow putting spacers behind the water pump pulley because then the two pulleys would hit.
Because you altered the drivebelt system, you'll need to replicate the system pictured below... all three pulleys will be run off of one V-belt. I suggest visiting a salvage yard to locate the correct pieces. Doing so may require also acquiring the alternator brackets so it is positioned correctly.
I know what the belt routing will be, but can't seem to find the proper water pump and crank pulleys. Took the water pump pulley off of a 68 small block with an alternator only setup, but it still doesn't line up with my alternator, and there is not enough room to slide the alternator back. Does anyone know what year bump sides I can find the right pulley setup on?

I would suggest doing what Hio said in post #4. His way is easier. All off the same donor engine.
What years and engines will give me the right set up?
Oh, I don't think year will make much difference. Just make sure the donor is a 302 not 351W since that's what you got. I'd stick with a pulley and bracket set up off a truck or van 1st. Car 2nd.
