2002 Cab Wiring Schematic

I'm looking to see if I can find a schematic for the cab wiring of my 02 f350. I was doing some drilling into the floor and cut into the wire loom that runs under the center console (horizontally towards the back seat bolts) and sliced a few of the wires. Does anybody know what wires run through this loom? I really don't want to pull the carpet, and by don't, I mean I can't. The seat tracks are stuck and I can't get to the final bolt on either side so I can't pull either seat.

Lesson learned... don't drill when the fridge is empty

Is yours a straight cab? Super Cab? Also, what trim level? I can look at my SC. This loom runs front-to back?

It's a crew cab lariat. The loom runs side to side and goes under both driver and passenger side seat brackets. I'm guessing around 15 wires or so in the loom.

I was able to figure out that one of the wires that was cut has something to do with the fuel gauge in the dash and the overhead display. Dash gauge wouldn't work and over head said 0 miles until empty. Once I removed the screw that broke the wires, they went back to working.

It sounds like the screw penetrated the loom and grounded the wire/s feeding those functions, because when you removed it they went to working. Which means they probably weren't cut, but the insulation is damaged. This doesn't mean the wire/s themselves weren't damaged too, but I don't think they were cut. If they are supplied by the 5 Volt system out of the GEM, they most likely would not blow a fuse.

I am a bit surprised that wiring was inside the cab, I thought the fuel gauge wiring was inside the frame and entered the cab by the fuse panel. My truck is a Super Cab XLT without power seats or overhead console. I'm sure you have a lot more wiring in your cab than mine has. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can check in here...

Anyway, you basically have two options: First is to leave it alone, and hope it keeps working. It may for a long time, but I would always worry about it getting wet enough to corrode and cause more problems in the future. The second is to somehow remove those seats and carpet, open the loom and repair the wires and insulation. I think I would cut them, slip heat-shrink tubing over the wires and solder them. Probably would be a pain in the rear!

Have you tried a right angle air impact wrench on the last two bolts? (My truck has the captain's chairs and console, it looks like that combo might reach all of mine, regardless of the seat position) I would try to find one and the Torx socket. You can saturate the bolts from below with something like KD Blaster, and may have some luck....
