Looking at my First super duty!

Hello,

I have been keeping an eye out for a while for a Super duty 7.3 Auto that lower mileage. I found this on craigslist the other night. It a 2000 F350 extended cab long bed. 166,000 miles.

2000 Ford F350 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel

I like 90% of the truck. The down fall is that it not a manual 4x4. It got the shifter on the dash.

I got a few 7.3 and no stranger to the engine or super duty. It just never seem to look all the important stuff over and always miss stuff. So on the not what should I be looking for in this year truck?

I have gotten some other pictures. What do u guys think? It will be replacing my 95 F250 but not directly. I'll move my 96 into the work truck spot and use this as my dd.

What do u guys think? I personally think 13,500 high but not out of the question. He said as far as he know it never plowed nor a real work truck. It has been his second truck. He not sure if he the 2nd or 3rd owner.

Looks good from the pics. The stuff you look at is about the same for most other 7.3's

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...questions.html

Manual 4X4 had become increasingly more difficult to find and I could not even find one when I purchased mine new in Dec of 2001.

Once you look it over, give it a test drive then put an AE on it and see what kind of codes are there

Thank you. Yes most of our trucks at work have the on dash 4x4 and we never seem to have problems. There just something about grabbing that shifter.

I do understand the hang-up on auto locking hubs, but most that I've been around work well. When they don't, they are pretty darn easy to troubleshoot and are usually just as easy to fix. Of course there are exceptions. Comes in very handy though!

It looks very nice in the pics provided. And I don't think the price is too high, they go for higher with more miles in my neck of the woods. Not sure why.

Tom can u get me a name?

On the auto hubs it just a fact that all my life I've had to get out and lock them. Then manually shift it in to 4x4. It like teach my dad to use an IPhone. He wants his old flip phone back.
