56 250 brake upgrade.

I recently purchaced a new master cylinder for my 56 250 welding truck. The more I think about it,I more I think I should be upgradeing to a dual cylinder. The truck is getting heavier everytime I throw some more tools in the box.
What are you guys using for masters.I would like to leave everything under the floor and will keep the stock brakes for the wheels due to the fact I have new stuff to fix every thing.
The thought of the cylinder going and having only one stage is a little scary seeing as the truck should be pushing 10,000 lbs and hasn't seen a oxy?acet bottle yet.
Does anyone have a resent part number for 3/4 drums?
Thanks in advance
Dave

I guess I am also asking if a new single master will suffice?

you should be worried. 10k lbs & any blown wheel cylinder & you are outta brakes. Yikes.

The Rock (Rockauto.com) has dual cylinder and even power brake conversion kits that bolt right in under the floor.

If your running 10k lbs I would spend the $500 & upgrade to power brakes. It uses your existing pedal & bolts right in. Just plumb a new line or two & its easy as pie.

I have one on my 56 now & installed one on my old 58 chevy. worth every penny.
