My local mechanic has done a few of these swaps with the 5.9 cummins going into super duty's. The most recent one bolted up to a zf5 or zf6(not sure which). The adapter alone cost him $1800.

Although this is a great route for more power, it is a headache doing these swaps. You may be able to find a better deal on parts, but it's still a lot of work. If you do decide to do it, the end result is pretty sweet.

He probably got the adapter from destroked.com? (not sure if posting thats going to get me in trouble…) I have a friend who works at rocky mountain cummins and said he can get me an adapter for almost nothing. Also, the dodge has a 6 speed NV in it that we will sell, and use money from that to buy the proper parts. Ive helped with a few cummins swaps, and they aren't too big of a deal if you can source parts cheap, and have an entire donor truck.
