97 f150 for cheap
I found a 97 f150, single cab, stepside, offroad package, 5 speed, 4.6 for $1300. The guy says he thinks the motor's seized. Now, the truck has 200,000 upper michigan miles on it, but the only rust i see in the pics is the rockers. The interior looks spotless. It appears to be very well taken care of so I am not totally convinced that the motor's siezed. Hell, it's got a factory lookin tailpipe on it. So, assuming it is well taken care of, I was thinking its probably just an ac bearing welded itself or alternator or water pump, etc.
Anyways, if the motor is seized up, do you guys think its worth it? I was told its a pretty uncommon pickup.

Maybe if it had the 302 or similar pushrod type motor. If you have ever done anything major on a mod motor ( like a head gasket) it can get extremely expensive in short order. If it ran so you could at least evaluate it a little better that would be different. I say no unless you can find a used motor and do the swap yourself.....should need be.
