Edge Insight Guage's

Today while towing my 5ver, I noticed the readings on my Edge CTS was showing EOT at around 209/212 and ECT around 204/206, tranny temps around 140 and intrake air temps around 70. Other tranny temp gauge on hi press side showed normal temps around 160/170. Dash gauges showed normal temps and overheat fan didn't kick in too much, just normal' could it be a glitch in the Edge CTS..? These temps are higher then I usually see while towing, all towing was on flatland, from Renton to Fife and back. Truck didn't smell hot or the Oil either. Any ideas fellow Ford people. I do have BPD oil and egr coolers. I pulled the dipstick and it wasn't too hot, just normal, for a 30 mile run. Thanks Vern

The cooling fan wont kick on high until you reach the 220* range. Are you runnning with a tune and were you using tow/haul mode? The temps look fine to me.

Look normal to me too. You say it's higher than you normally see...what temps do you normally see while towing your 5er?

I was using Tow/Haul mode in tranny and had a bit of a headwind/and some rain while driving. Usually my temps stay in the 185/190 range while towing, while climbing the mountains of Montana last year the hottest my EOT got was around 230 with a ECT of around 204/209 temps.
I am just wondering if my gauge is going bad etc, will start it up in a bit to see how/what the gauge reads after sitting all night. Then I will post the results. Vern

By running the truck yesterday without the 5th whl, ECT stayed in 175/185 range and the EOT was 170/175 range and tracked around 5 to 10 degrees of the coolant temps. By rechecking my records I found out that my towing temps were normal 200/214 on EOT and 195/205 on the ECT. So now am okay with the temps while pulling. Vern
