I just bought a f150 300 straight 6... ok I can get the shifter to go from 2wd to 4 hight bit the stick wont go into netural or 4 low any sujestiond

I'm still new so I'll get this question out of the way first: are you stopped when you attempt shifting from 4H to 4L? Trans in gear or in Neutral?

yeah,you are supposed to be stopped when going to 4 low OR OUT of 4 low, you can go into neutral if you heart really desires it but it would be just like going into neutral with the acutal shifter, sounds like someone needs to read or buy then read the owners manual

You need to push down on the shifter to get it past the gate to get it into neutral or 4Lo. Often times the mechanism corrodes and won't allow the shifter to be pressed down. Don't force it or it will break! Diesel Brad has a repair how-to on here.
