Can you change a coil spring dana44 to a leaf spring
Short answer, yes....but depends on what vehicle you're talking about. IFS (ttb) ford/dana 44? or are you talking about a solid axle....can you be more specific?
Can you change a coil spring dana44 to a leaf spring
I have a 79 F150 Custom. It has a solid axle Dana44 in the front and a 9" out back. I am going to upgrade the 9" to a Sterling 10.25 or a GM 14 bolt. (not sure) Anyway I'm keepingthe Dana44, but i want to go a little higher than the kit Skyjacker allows. (9") I am looking for more like 18". I know that i can use 12" Chevy Superlift leaf springs in the rear. I just cant think of how to convert the front over to leaf spring. I know that it is going to be a stiffer ride with leaves all the way around. This isnt going to be that much of a daily driver. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Matt Dawson
