Hello members
need help!
I have a 2002 excursion XLT. it does not have power seats for the driver or passenger. I came across some power seats from a 2002 limited. what I need to know is, can I remove the non power seats and put in the seats from the limited, is the wiring already in the XLT model to just plug it in, or im I going to have to do some rewiring.
thanks
You will have to do some wiring. There is usually two main wires depending on the type of seats, one fat wire that is a 30 amp circuit and one smaller wire that goes to the key-on ignition circuit. I would run a separate wire through the firewall and tie the 30 amp circuit to a circuit breaker and then to the battery + directly. Use 10 gauge wire for that circuit. Find a ignition on circuit in the fuse box and use a fuse tap to put that in the fuse box. 16 gauge would be good enough for that, I think I remember it was only on a 10 amp fuse.

Thank you very much
I was hoping that ford laid all the wiring the same, and I could just plug it in.
Once again
Thank you
