ATS 088 Air intake problems.

So the Airbox and filter that were part of the 088 kit are way to restrictive. I'm wanting to fab up my own intake. Does anyone have pics of what they did to their truck? Specifically with the ATS 088 turbo. I haven't been able to find anything on any forum for this turbo and frankly it's rather frusterating

. Also, does anyone know what the OD of the intake is on this turbo?

silicone elbow and some pvc pipe, bolted a spectre 900cfm cone to it. Made a air box for it where the passenger side battery used to be.

Sweet. The intake is 2 3/4 right?

umm. ya know, i dont actually know. I ran that setup with my hx35 in my 79 just because i needed to throw an intake together. I just bored a hole in the pvc and screwed the CDR valve to the pipe. Worked great. You could build it out of some mild steel tubing if you wanted it to look nice. I just turned my batteries sideways and built a frame to hold both of em on the passenger side and shortened the big + cable. Had to move the starter solenoid. All-in-all, turned out pretty slick actually.
