Swap a power steering set up from a '78-'79 F-250 4x4. Not exactly a nut and bolt swap, but one way to go.
A search through this site should spell out the specifics.
Back in the before times we used a power steering gear from a mid 60's T-bird or Lincoln for the conversions. The install looked to be identical to the factory '78-'79 system.
I am waiting on my 78/79 4x4 p/s box to arrive , little hard to find but i got lucky and bought one from a fellow fte member while researching the power steering swap for my 77 highboy i did run across this posting on another site lots of good pics not sure if its the best way or not but looks like a clean install
I have used a 73-79 2wd box. Cheap and very plentiful. A little frame and inner fender trimming & boxing. Used the pitman arm off of the 2wd turned it 90 degrees I think. carefully used a die grinder to enlarge tapered hole tapered reamer too expensive for me. P/S lines for 2wd were used. Used a new chevy drag link 73-87 I think to finish up. That was in 1999. Hope this helps..
