I've read where some are using a little oil between changes and I've read where some make a little noise when cold. However, I believe that 99.9% of the 5.0L trucks are doing well.

The only problem I foresee is the lighter wallet mod and the perma-smile thats impossible to get off your face!
In all seriousness, the 5.0L appears to be a very nice powerplant. Nothing that I've read points towards widespread concerns like the cam phasers and plugs on the early 04-08 trucks.
