Keep the truck. They've fixed the issues, and a 200,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty is pretty awesome. You won't have to fear balljoints, hubs, slip joints, or any of the other myriad expen$ive things that can go wrong with your truck. And on top of that you won't be eating more depreciation.
If they've fixed your issues, what's not to love about the deal they are offering? Lots of folks on FTE love spending other people's money, but in this case I just don't see the merits of a new truck. You have a nice truck that's a year old that now happens to be free of issues, right? Take the warranty and SMILE.
I really appreciate your input. I would be fine doing that however they have devalued my vehicle for all the miles i have logged on her. They charge $0.59 a mile and I have 24500 miles so that breaks down to just over $12,000. So that puts a $64000.00 truck at $76000.00 because devalue. Again no rebates, no negotiation nada. Sucks on that end. If I can do the full refund and get approved for it, I can start at $64000.00 and work back from there with negotiation, rebates etc. However on a positive note my service package and extended warranty I purchased transfers right over so that would be good.
The devalue part sucks but ibwas able to negotiate them playing me full price with no devalue on my car. I had almost 40k miles.
On the flip side paying 33k for a XL 350 was a kick in the *****
I was leaning toward the King Ranch yes, however I think a lariat loaded up will do me all the same. Sticker on my 250 KR was 66 (I didn't pay that of course) but for a 350 lariat with all the same bells and whistles its sticker is 64. Needless to say I can get the 8ft bed and 37 gal fuel tank and the stiffer rear end which I have been wanting for the sag when I tow for 2k less off the batt. Just looking at needs I guess. Also I was thinking about going with the Cabela's camo seat covers anyways so I would cover up most of the KR leather. BTW did you randomly start getting the King Ranch magazines by chance? I don't think there is even a shirt in there for under $100.00 sheesh hahaha

Ah, ok, I was just curious if there was something you didn't like with the KR, lol. No I haven't received any mags that I'm aware of, if the mrs. got the mail the day it came, I'll be lucky to see it next year....
I like the h&s, I had my truck to the shop about 4 friggin times for shifting, so I thought I would try h&s as they have trans tuning. Helped a little bit, the shifts aren't as annoying now. If my truck ran smooth from day one, I dunno if I would have even bothered with the tuner.
Good to know. I may do the tuner but not sure. Ford did call me today and they are processing the refund. I can accept or deny it if it gets approved. Probably will accept it and i may be able to get ford to include the 200k on a new truck that would be nice. So far I have to say Ford's customer service has blown past any other manufacture I have encountered. Keeps me in the blue oval for sure.
Update:
Well at the end of last week I talked to Ford Customer Service and they are refunding the truck (should be another 1-2 weeks) and they are throwing in a 200,000 mile warranty for free on the new purchase for all the hassle we have been through. Pretty good deal if you ask me. That being said good thing I did not decide to keep the truck: SYSTEM FAILURE AGAIN. The complete $10,000 fix did not fix the problem NOT TO MENTION ABS FAILURE NOW TOO, the gremlin is back I feel I dodged a bullet on this one. I appreciate the input from you all on the matter. That was the last repair Ford was authorizing on the truck. Don't know what will happen Monday when it bring it in?

UPDATE AGAIN:
Drove her in the driveway yesterday and my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. This morning I limped her into ford literally, waited for 4 hours and ended up with a loaner truck until tomorrow or the end of the week (which ever they decide). Either way they said my truck is a liability for them to let me drive it as Ford decided the last repair was already completed on the truck. So I think today was the last day I drove her. I will keep you all updated on the progress of this as this week I am sure will be a dynamic week.
Sounds like they're taking care of you. Such a shame...it's probably a bad wiring harness somewhere. I remember Vince telling me one time of how long it took to diagnose an electrical glitch that was shutting down a truck out of warranty. He replaced lots of things at the behest of the tech hotline, and it turned out to be a wiring harness under the truck that was shorting out.
With the CAN electrical system a short in a seemingly minor system can shut the whole truck down and do all sorts of arcane things.

I hear ya Tom, unfortunately all wiring harnesses were replaced 1 month ago. Front, rear, and cab harnesses along with all PCM modules. I have no idea what could be causing all this. It is a true enigma.
