Pros: Theyre awesome. Parts are much cheaper than some other diesels. Theyre loud.

Cons: Theyre older trucks. If you live in a salt state finding a good one can be difficult. Theyre very popular so theyre pretty expensive these days. Theyre loud.

Anything more specific?

Pros - properly maintained, the engine will run 500k miles.

Cons - you will miss it when it is gone, assuming it dies before you do.
