Mechanical Injected 7.3

Does anyone know if Navistar ever made a fully mechanical T444? (Notice I dropped the E because of the lack of electronics.) I have a 1999 F350 I am looking at buying for a farm truck It seems as if most of the issues with this engine are a result of electronic componants failing. I'm not worried about emissions or mileage as this truck will be used on a farm. I just want it to start and run when I need it. If the parts are available, I am interested in converting the engine to full mechanical injection.

I don't think they made a factory one but you could convert yours...

That stuff is way too expensive. I was hoping to find rebuildable junkyard parts. I'm pretty handy at mechanical things (Aircraft Mechanic for over 30 years). So I wanted to find the parts to overhaul and install. I know the early 7.3 had higher compresiion, easy enough to do, but just finding affordable parts to convert to mechanical injection seems to be the big mystery.
