Is there any oil passage near a coolant passage?
I'm chasing a oil in my coolant issue..
It's in my 2000 excursion limited.
Changed oil cooler.
Truck runs fine, no codes, no missing issues.
A mechanic old me change the intake gasket..
Just trying to confirm that there it is possible to have oil and coolant somehow mixing from a intake gasket leak...
Hard to believe that someone has ant done an intake gasket and noticed if there was a oil passage or not.....
Please any pics or advice, would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
John
The intakes on the v10 just have 10 intake ports and 4 coolant ports... They have a dry valley between the heads... The only way to have your intake leak coolant into the oil would be into the intake ports and then into the combustion chambers but it would be missfiring and steaming out the exhaust... I have never had a mod motor do that...
When you find the cause of your issue post it so we all can learn something.
