Miller gave me a bit of a concern once some time ago. Hopefully it was an isolated incident.

TA455HO,
That would have been me; I saw the info posted by Bill, had a HEAT **** and a TEMP **** on my list, saw 10 HEAT ***** available and figured it would be OK to utilize the posted info to obtain one. There were only 4 TEMP ***** listed as available so I figured that would be too tight to step in as I have found that you have a 50/50 chance the part rearcounter says is available is really available. I called Bowman Sale and Service (Ford dealer in N Dakota). The fellow at Bowman pulled the part and described; two of the three he had said HEAT on the ****, a third was plain with no label. I purchased one of the HEAT labeled ***** and the unlabeled **** (5.00 per ****). I can use the unlabeled for TEMP.

Astronaut,
If you find that all of the HEAT ***** Bill posted have disappeared, I will gladly send you the one I purchased from Bowman. Your thread has provided a lot of valuable information exchange between participants on this forum and the quality of work you have shown is outstanding. I am doing a layman's driveway restoration, you are providing a professional show quality restoration so the NOS HEAT **** would better fulfill it's designed application in your project. If you need it just provide your shipping address to gavinblosser@aol.com and I will send it to you.

I apologize to all if my use of the info posted in this thread would be considered unethical.

Green Sales web site search engine shows no HEAT ***** in inventory. So maybe both were bought today because partsvoice and Green Sales are in conflict.

I just checked: greensalescompany.com shows 2 heat ***** in stock.

Try typing the number this way: C1TF18534A - no spaces or hyphens.

Apparently everyone tried to buy ***** all at once... Most places we called said they'd had 2-3 calls that day asking about the same part. The guy at Immel was even grumpy that someone else was asking about them. Finally found a pair after calling our local dealership and having them give us a list of numbers to call.

What sources/phone numbers did your dealer give you that I didn't list?

Sources I listed came from the Ford D2D (Dealer Parts Locator System), PartsVoice.com & rearcounter.com. What other websites are there to search for obsolete parts?

3) C1TF-18534-A .. Heat ****. I did not list Bob Allen Ford (Overland Park KS 800-676-0675) originally, because there were 10 available elsewhere and this dealer is a high binder, wants MEGA BUCKS for obsolete parts.

But now, this may be the only source that has any.

btw: A member of the 1967/72 forum was looking for the reflectors that mount underneath the Styleside tail lamps on 1969/72's. Obsolete, not reproduced.

I found quite a few, but the member failed to check back for almost a month and by that time...all were sold. Then he whined about it.

Ridiculous! Obsolete parts are hard to find, if you snooze you lose!

After all that to find a pair, they don't match.

Astronaut,

Do you need a "yellowish" heat **** or a "white" temp **** to match the rest of the ***** in the dash?
