I'm out...I just don't have any knowledge, and what I posted was pretty simpe in terms of details.
I would ask though....how is it that some have injectors that run 500k and others need them at 150k miles? If wear is linear?
Hypothetical. Let's say the fella that has the injectors that were going to last 150k miles....but he decides at 140k miles he wants hybrids? By all account his cores have 10k miles left. So the reman company works them and they pass the flow bench test....but they only have 10k miles left on the poppet seat.
Like I said....I don't know, but I'm going to bite the bullet and purchase new AC and have 30% nozzles installed. And people like Tugly have had reman's and went to new. I'm not that into swapping injectors, I'm hoping to swap the new sticks and close the hood.
Finally getting around to swapping out these sticks.....They sent me three for 2,4,5 and I also had a problem with 1 as well. I figured I'd just bite the bullet and buy a new AC injector from International.
Too bad all the supposed 'single shot AC' injectors I have a 'AB' part numbers and cant be used for core.....

I am BEYOND pissed.
Aren't the AC injectors the same as ABs, except with a different plunger and barrel assembly? You ought to be able to find a rebuilder to buy those from you.

I was looking for someone local to buy new from. Doesn't matter now, its almost back together. I got a guy coming the buy the Mustang and when that happens I'm buying all 8 new.
But this is interesting to know....Your local IH dealer wont swap these sticks out if they aren't the same p/n....Doesn't matter what guts are in them.
My local Int'l dealer is nothing short of a PITA. I'll spend more money elsewhere so I don't have to deal with them. Any chance it's a branch of the Beltway Company dealerships down where you're at?
