Here's my question. Why do people threaten that they'd rather take it to the scrap yard if they don't get "$X", would that guy really get $1900 for that truck at the yard? Scrap prices here are no where near that much, I wouldn't think he'd get more then $800, tops, and that's with the extra steel from the tow bed.
I'd just wait until he takes it to the scrap yard and then give them an extra $100 over what they paid and still get it for half!

I don't know why they do that Game.
Scrap is $200 a ton here. I don't think most people have any intention of scrapping. I have found out it has been on there awhile.

$200 a ton is almost double what's going here! Only time I've actually had it happen is when someone is cleaning up something that wasn't theirs and just wants it gone, like when a friends neighbor's daughter inlaw that "cleaned up " his backyard when they were gone on vacation as a surprise!! Got some 3pt tractor equipment and odd steel for only $100 when she decided to "scrap it."
