We got 8" of snow yesterday. I tried to move my 70 F350 off the street so they could plow closer to the curb. Of course the rear wheels spun. As I was working the truck out... rocking, shoveling, more gunning and more spinning and more shoveling.... the back end of the truck got closer to an electric pole. I thought I had it cleared, but when I got the truck out on the street I noticed the right rear Dietz marker light was gone, smashed.
But there is a silver lining. It was not working anyway. I think the rust prohibited a good ground. I could not remove it as the screws were rusted fast, so now I can get the base off. All I have to do is find a good replacement.
Does anyone have a Dietz marker light from this era for sale? I need a red lens but I would take an amber one as I have some extra red lenses.
I don't remember now Abe. Do you have a FORD flatbed? If so the part number was C9TZ15442C for the red lamps. If you do I'll run a locate on that number for you. Let me know.

Yes, it is a Ford flatbed. The base of the lamp said "Dietz 94".
Here you go. Call 'em and get the best deal.

Armored marker. Just got two almost exact replacements for my truck. Different mounting holes and just a short chunk of wire instead of having the bullet connector. I'll look up the vendor, but if you can get originals then that's the way to go.

While we are on the subject, is the 'Blink Marker Light' switch just a switch or does it act like a breaker? As in you push it and they simply go out while it is depressed or you push it and it blinks the lights at some rate?

The switch is simply a switch which turns the system on. The "Flasher" can is what does the blinking. Green one for the 4-ways and either a lt blue or yellow for the T/S.
