hey guys,
wondering if anyone can help me out. i was looking to lower my 66 f100 that currently has 73 front end for disc brakes. i found a decent priced kit online that includes front beams and rear shackles and hangers. my question is are 66 rear shackles and hangers the same as 73 or will i have to purchase front and rear suspension separately to get 66 shackles and 73 i beams?
I've found it is better to just give them a call and tell them what you have. Most places will get you the correct parts. I do think that the shackles are different between the years.

If you're talking about DJM, the drop beams are the same '65-79. There is a difference in the rear kits because '65-72 have 2.25" rear springs and '73-79 have 2.5" springs. There are some exceptions to the rear spring widths but it would be best to get out the tape measure & measure your rear springs. Hope that helps a little.....the vendor should be able to accommodate you either way.
