I have a 9" rear end, don't really want to spend the money on a new rear suspension, I have nothing right now, which would be the best "bone" yard choice, looking for a lowered rear-end reasult also.

As king for alot for no money?
If it's good I'd keep the nine inch too. You can lower it some by removing spring leaves if you don't haul anything heavy. You can get by with about 4 on each side. That will lower it some. If you need more you can move the axle above the springs but that will require a C-notch to get more clearance. Another option would be to use softer springs from another vehicle. I used rear springs from my 87 Chrysler 5th Avenue suspension donor and was able to install the rear end above the spring without a C-notch. You need at least three inches of suspension travel back there. If you keep the stock springs you can make your own C-notch without buying a kit if money is an issue. There is really nothing else in the bone yard that will be as good as the nine inch you have...
