well after my 79 f 150 gets out of the shop i plan on getting it painted. i wont be getting it paint for awhile cuz i need to save up the money first. i want a cool paint job and have been thinking about flames, stripes, two tone, or just one solid color. i have been thinking of putting a black and silver together or red and black. i just got an idea by looking at a boss shinoda mustang model i built. its red n black. i thought of maybe doing the same paint scheme. red base w/ black stripe down the center of the car and the stripe down the side saying boss but instead of saying shinoda one the bottom maybe 4x4 or truck or something. here is a picture of it on the car. http://www.streetclassics.com/mustangs/boss429.gif
so what do u guys think? im open to other ideas just thought this would be a unique one and look good. i think id definately get some attention from this and scare those poor chevy drivers
Black goes very well with a lot of colors if you're going two tone. Especially yellow, red, blue, silver, or tan, or beige. Black goes well wirh metallics also. It's so hard to settle on a paint scheme.
When I finally paint my 1936 Chevy HiCab, I'm going with a two tone black & tan........so far.
As for my '67 F 250......don't know yet....maybe cammo.
no josh... just because it is painted funky doesn't mean it is fast.
Thats like ricers putting stickers on their cars to make em faster....are you sure you have the right board?
im not saying its going to be fast cause of the paint job. it will be fast because the engine which im going to put it before i get it painted so that is y i am waiting to paint it for awhile. having the 351 mod worked on so i can stick it in a future project but ima drive it around w/ the 351 till i get the new engine ready to put in. the paint job is just the finishing touch to it. this is just the body work forum so i didnt say anything about other plans because it has nothing to do with the paint so yes i do have the right board. and thanks for clearing up that red maybe faster than blue, but black is definately faster than both of them.
Josh check out my Gallery ofr some new ideas. Try and do something that not alot of people have. Don't worry Stingray42 is just mad because he likes chevys. I have a 460 in mine, but guys won't pull up to me because of the paint job and how it sounds.
just out of curiousity if ur such a chevy guy y do u have a ford project truck and participate in a "pro- ford site"? not meaning any disrespect but have u seen the light and just dont want to admit it or what?
i am a Chevy guy, but any of the big 3 are fine by me. My daily driver is a 93 GMC half ton, and I bought an 84 F150 at a sale for a 150 bucks, and so came here for help fixing it. My Chevy board is: http://64.246.42.114/vboard/index.php3? for the 93. I love both boards, and know that the flame wars start, so i stop em before they start. Satisfied?
