Hello truck lovers, I am new to the site and I need someadvice. I have a 2008 f250 111,000 miles;I had my EGR valve replaced 2 years ago right after I hit 100,000 and got theupdated EGR valve. The majority of mydriving is around town outside of the hunting and summer camping roadtrips. I am tired of the regen process……thinkingabout installing a DPF delete kit and possibly a EGR delete kit. I currently do not have a performance chip….pleasegive me your thoughts on the DPF and EGR delete kits and recommendations for aperformance chip. Thanks!!! <o></o>
A small minority feel these motors are fine stock. I personally don't feel that way. Getting rid of the regen process is the best thing you can do for the truck. Tuning wise, you have Spartan, H&S, and SCT units. Exhaust options depend on what you want. Full exhaust vs delete pipes only. Tuning can shut down the EGR system, but hot exhaust gasses are still allowed to pass through the coolers. 6.4s don't survive hydrolocked incidents very well if they ever were to rupture. I personally like to physically remove them from the truck.
