Quick oil cooler question

I am in the middle of rebuilding my oil cooler on my 2002 F350 7.3L,
I am ready to reinstall the cooler and not sure about the Orings,
The black ones that fit the ends of the cooler are loose on the cooler itself, If I slip one in the housing it fits tight inside.
I am wondering if this is normal?
I think it will snug up on the cooler once it all slides together, But wanted a second opinion from someone who has rebuilt a cooler before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Tom

if things are not right, you will be back very soon, the orings should fit with out any drooping or visual looseness.a common mistake is a lack of lube with a good film strength.
