Years ago I picked up a 9" pumpkin for free. It sat around for 20- 25 years and I finally decided to take it apart to have a look at how bad the inards where. Before I took it apart I marked the bearing caps and measured the backlash. The first thing I noticed was the size of the carrier bearings. They are HUGE 3"+ a few thou. I did some digging and I think I may have a DAYTONA. Not sure though. It was supposed to be a Trac-loc but now I am in the dark and need a guiding light to show me. lol Anyone out there know ? I don't have a camera to post a pic. I am VERY old school and still can't set the time on a VCR. Thanks Gang.

What the hell is a DAYTONA? Never heard of any such thing.
What you may have is a H/D 9" 3rd member with a 9 3/8" ring gear that was installed in some 1966/72 passenger cars and 1968/72 F100's.
All bearings and cups have a BIN (Bearing Industry Number) stamped on them, post what they are.
