Its a little more pricey $149 but worth it. Get the Bose Series 2. It comes with 3 different tips for comfort. It can be programmed to two devices as well if you have a work/personal phones as I do.. The standby & talk time is good. Their warranty and customer service is awesome. I drive a freightshaker for work and its crystal clear for me at 70 mph and the caller, even when standing next to the cummins running while parked. I also use it in my F250 all the time.
After almost 2 years, I smelled something burning in the freightliner one night but could not find the source. The next day, i figured out the bluetooth shorted out and partially melted. I called Bose and they provided me with a brand new one absolutely free.
I tried a Jabra that promised all the things that the Bose did but its was terrible on both sides when using so I took it back and got the Bose that I originally went in for.
I use a Blue Parrot bx250. It's an over the head type set up but it's the best out there. I've been a truck driver for 22 years and I've tried most crappy headsets on the market. I can have my headset on and stand in front of my freightliner with it running and all you here is me. They say when I'm driving it's like I'm sitting in the living room talking. Most headsets have a life span of about a year or so b ut I've been using the same one for 3 years and the battery still lasts a week and a half. Pm me for a demo. You can get them from most truckstops for $99.

I looked at those at Best Buy, but they only had the model for the right ear, and I was looking for the left side so I skipped over them.

I've had good luck with Plantronics in the past on volume coming in on my end, but the Legend I just tried had awful call output. Noise cancelling also seemed to greatly mute my voice when in a loud environment.

I've seen the videos of those on youtube Phil. I was thinking about grabbing one, but didn't know if they really worked as well as advertised. Saw a similar set up from Cobra that seemed to perform well too.
If you want to you can Pm me your number and you can hear it first hand. I have to make a short trip this morning in my truck.
That's ok. From what I can tell it's better than most for folks hearing you. Just a couple more questions though.
How does it do in the wind if you're walking around outside? Does it mute the wind as well?
What about incoming volume? My ears don't work as well as they used to, so the louder the better. I can always turn the volume down some, but I haven't figured out how to turn it up past max volume yet.
They are great for listening to your music if it's stored on your phone, and, if a call comes in, the music is over-ridden by the call, and you can have the phone conversation. While your driving, you can use just one earpiece, if you want to be legal, and that sounds pretty good. They cost about $70, haven't noticed any background wind noise, and the other party says that I sound clear.

I does very good in windy conditions. If it's REALLY windy it'll pick up a little, but yes incoming volume is very good too. I actually have mine turned down a notch, old ears that listened to too much loud music. I strongly recommend this headset. It's been $99.00 at one of the truckstops, I can't remember which one, with a $20.00 rebate.
A lot of the pilot truck stops sell the blueparrot products. The size of them was the downer for me as I wear it a lot while working and can slide the Bose into my pocket when i need too. I
i use the older version of the Jabra speakerphone.
works great, and the only complaint i have with it is the 30 ft receiving distance. so if i forget to turn it off in the truck and someone calls, i have to be more than 30 ft away from the truck for the phone to work.
Chris I agree with Phil I use a B250XT Blueparrot this one I have been using for 2 years the previous blue parrot lasted for 5 years . I drive over the road also and people can't believe I'm driving down the road with the CB and stereo on while I'm talking to them they only hear me. Make sure you keep the foam cover over the mic it cuts the wind noise way down.

A couple other things I can add is, the LG Tone can have 2 devices connected a the same time.
Example: my personal phone and work phone can be connected at the same time. I can be listening to music and whichever phone rings, music mutes and I can take the call.
Another plus, they fit in your ears like ear plugs. I use them while mowing the lawn on the riding lawn mower. If I don't have the music playing, the sound of the lawn mower is muffled very good, but, I like to listen to music. If you need extra sound dampening, you can wear ear muffs over the plugs (but it's not really needed).
I've had my set almost 2 years. They are a really good product.
