just installed scangauge

just got my scangauge installed,went for about a 25 min ride on interstate.
eot 190to 191
ect 183 to 184 does these numbers sound about right.

Sounds good . Outside air temps must be cold. Closer to 190 ECT is better but hard to reach on a cold day.

well thats what I was going to ask,i just put a new thermostat from napa in about a month ago.Do you think that might be why my ect's are not as high as they should be.

Just from what's been posted here some trucks temps are rock solid no matter what the ambient temps are, some drop a little like yours, and some drop a lot. My truck struggled to keep mid 170's with a Murray plus thermostat in low teens ambient temps. I had some "theories" about why, but in the end I'm thinking it is just the thermostat. The Motorcraft thermostats seem to hold temps better when the weather gets cold.
