I received this last night ...long long time friend of mine
Tim some background info for the post.
Question: garage kept 6.0 43k miles was parked outside overnight in 10 deg F weather started dripping coolant later the next day. Truck was parked nose down on an incline hill when it was notice to have a small drip off front of block. After investigating a the coolant was on passenger side of intake. What could be leaking under or the near the turbo? Intake was removed by dealer at 12K miles for warranted work.
Most likely it's the small oil cooler to EGR cooler hose (orange or blue in color) leaking. Typically happens when cold. Very common.
I'm thinking the same as well...
The easiest way to get to it without struggling and hurting yourself in the process is to remove the turbo. It doesn't take very long and you're not trying to squeeze your fingers into a tight area to change that hose.
I personally wouldnt remove the turbo. There is a write up on it in the tech folder under egr cooler hose removal and install. Average joe I would say hour or less.
