it is a 2011,and i dont have it in tow /haul, the engine light been on for awhile with a p401 code had ford put new egr on but poped back on i guess the egr filter dirty. i am in okeechbee fl. on vacation , going to go to diffenrt dealer than here to get fixed . and it is stock with 43000 on it 16mpg.thinking about put h&s race tuner on it , that will make light go off .and thought about trading it in on a 2014. dont no if they are any better than the 2011 , maybe few bugs were worked out .

Think you got issues..
There isn't sound back there so technically, you've not forgotten anything.
P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient Detected
I am having the same issue with my 2013.....Check engine light comes on after about 5-10 minutes of driving at highway speed...always same code P401.....drivability NOT affected......check engine light does not come on during in town conditions...any ideas on what I can do before spending money on a diagnostic and/or repair?
Most likely plugged EGR cooler. you wont notice the reduction in power until you are towing something heavy. Get it in, should be under engine/emissions warranty.

Unfortunately, not the factory warranty as truck was purchased certified used and extended warranty does not cover emissions. This may be jumping to conclusions though, won't know what is causing the problem until the diagnostic is run and that won't be until next week and that is 125 bones. If it is the EGR cooler, that is a about 700 additional monies spent. BTW- please define what "heavy" is as far as loads are concerned...hate to have a 16.5' Crestliner cause limp mode......
