Recently my EBP was reading high, all the time. Did not trip the CEL but after I replaced the sensor I noticed a world of difference in performance and economy.
IMO. before money is spent on anything else a quality diagnostic tool should be purchased. I agree, these things can be rather expensive to throw parts at....
